FAQ'S
HOW TO APPLY PRESS-ONS
Each set of press-ons comes with an application kit which includes everything you need to apply your press-ons. You will also receive an application and removal guide inside of your package.
Step 1: Wash your hands thoroughly to ensure any dirt and oils are removed to ensure maximum adhesion.
Step 2: Use the cuticle pusher/wooden stick to gently push back your cuticles, and buff the nail plate to remove the shine and create a lightly etched surface for the nails to adhere to.
Step 3: Wipe your nail plate thoroughly with the alcohol wipe and ensure all dust is removed.
Step 4: Apply a small amount of nail glue to the press-on and carefully and firmly attach to your nail, starting at the cuticle and then holding down for 30 seconds until secure
How long the nails last will depend on many things; prep, sizing, glue, and most importantly, not using your nails as tools! Top tip: apply press-ons before bed so you won't be using your hands/nails for a good few hours whilst they "settle". Some people get up to 3 weeks wear from press-ons when they're careful and applied correctly!
HOW TO REMOVE PRESS-ONS
You can buy specialist press-on removers to melt down nail glue, just ensure whatever you're using does not have acetone in, as this will disintegrate the entire press-on. Alternatively, follow the simple steps below.
Step 1: Soak your hand in a bowl of warm, soapy water for around 10-15 minutes.
Step 2: Use the cuticle pusher/wooden stick to gently push into the sidewalls and cuticle area to lift the press-on off the nail plate. If it is still resisting, soak the nails for longer and apply some cuticle oil to help ease them off.
Step 3: Once removed, gently file off any glue residue from your nail plate and the back of the press-ons.
Step 4: Wash your hands and store press-ons in protective case until next application.
Each set of press-ons can last many wears if cared for and removed correctly. Keep stored in the protective case when not in use for maximum longevity.
SHIPPING AND DISPATCH
All sets are hand painted to order and packed and dispatched by myself - just one person - so timeframes will vary. I am still a working nail technician so how quick the turnover is will depend on how many appointments I have that week. I book in creating a set of press-ons like a typical nail appointment to ensure they are finished to the highest standard. Whilst most orders will be created and dispatched within 7 days, please allow up to 14 days to receive your dispatch email. In a world of Amazon Prime I understand this dispatch timeframe isn't the most desirable, but I promise supporting a small business is far more rewarding and massively appreciated!
Orders are dispatched via Royal Mail Tracked 48 - you will receive a dispatch email with your tracking details once your order has left my studio. Please allow up to 24 hours for your tracking details to update, and get in touch with Royal Mail directly if you have any questions regarding your order once it has been dispatched.
PRODUCTS, MATERIALS AND CARE
All sets are hand made using high quality professional gel products. I have been a nail technician for nearly 3 years and have grown not only an extensive kit, but a range of nail art skills. All press-ons will be hand painted using high-quality gels, sealed with an ultra shiny glossy top coat, and every step cured with a professional 36W UV gel lamp.
Had a previous allergy to gel? That's the reason a lot of people switch to press-ons! The gel allergy you experience is usually to methacrylates, which is uncured gel being in contact with your skin. Press-ons allow you to bypass the curing process, meaning you shouldn't experience any issues wearing gel press-ons. Of course, like anything, proceed with caution and ensure you're applying with standard nail glue or glue tabs and not UV cured glue.
All products are custom made to order and are therefore non refundable.
